About Me

Hi! My name is Michael Meek. For the important stuff . . . I am in the fourth grade at Winding Creek Elementary. My grades have always been straight "A"s and I have received awards every year, including the PAWS and the Principal Award. As a matter of fact, the only award I have not received is perfect attendance (due to racing - imagine that). Now for the fun stuff . . . My favorite driver is Dale Earnhardt, Jr. My favorite place to eat is Babe's Chicken House in Sanger, TX. In my spare time (when I'm not at the track), I play baseball, football, and help take care of my little brothers Zane. . . and Carson.

My Rides and 2010

The car is an INEX 600 Bandolero. This is a full-bodied, half size, spec-series, race car. It is powered by a 30hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard racing engine. The kart is a 2008 Intrepid Maky with a IAME Gazelle 60 racing engine. I am really excited about 2010. I will run for a championship in the Bandolero, and race the kart when time allows.

2009 2009

In the Bandolero - this was my rookie year. The class started very strong at Texas Motor Speedway with 13-15 cars every race. I ended the year with 27 events and eight podiums, still looking for that first win. I finished third in points and I also won "Best Looking Bando in 2009" at TMS. In the Kart - this year was my second year in the gazelle class. Some of the kids from last year moved to the Rotax engine package, so the regional classes were not as big. Karting was not my main focus this year, but still ended the season with 12 events, five wins, eight podiums, and 10 top five's. I won another class championship at OMC (fourth in a row).

2008 2008

This was a learning year for me as a pilot and for my team to learn how to tune the Cadet kart and the Gazelle engine. I competed in 23 Events with four wins and 11 podiums. I also wrapped up another OMC track championship (third in a row). The SWRC was tough this year with only one podium at my home track and the class average was about 16 karts. I am looking forward to chasing the Regional Cup again next year.

2007 2007

2007 was only my second year in the kid kart class. I had 13 wins (46%) and 25 podiums (top 3) in 30 events. I also participated in 12 Southwest Regional Cup events. I had 2 wins and podiumed in 10 of the 12. I wrapped up the year and my kid kart career with another OMC track championship, a First in the Spring Southwest Regional Cup points, and a Second in the Fall SRC points.

2006 2006

2006 is when my karting career began, at age 5. I participated in 9 events and won 3 of them, including my first race ever. I wrapped up 2006 with a OMC track championship in the kid kart.
